[spacer height=”10px”]Are you looking to reduce your stress levels? Are you experiencing challenges at work or at home, and wishing you had a little more time in your day? Do you feel like you need the occasional break from your busy life… and your busy mind?

Mindfulness-based Symptom Management (MBSM) is designed for individuals experiencing stress related to life events (including relationships, work, family, depression, anxiety, loss, and more). Many people find mindfulness skills helpful for managing stress, tolerating difficult emotions, and improving self-care.

[spacer height=”10px”]Topics covered in this program include:

  • Understanding what mindfulness is… and isn’t
  • Increasing gentle awareness of body and mind
  • Exploring meditation and breathing exercises
  • Observing our thoughts/feelings without getting caught up in them
  • Respond mindfully (instead of reacting automatically)
  • Finding breathing space in our busy days

[spacer height=”10px”]For further details, please register for a FREE Mindfulness Information Session on March 4 (click to register) to learn more about the program. You can call or text 613-700-4969, or email sio@vpt123.ca, for more information.

The fees for this program are typically reimbursed by third-party extended health care insurance, as services are provided by a registered health care practitioner under the clinical direction of a registered psychologist. Note that this is an experiential course – we will be practicing mindfulness together, not just talking about the theories and the research. This course takes place on the second floor of a building with no elevator. Please contact me if you would like information about courses offered in a more accessible setting.
